How to Create a New Contact within Narware

In the Narware application contacts are most commonly created by Smart Links (Ideal) or Registrations(Common). Users can additionally create them one by one through a manual process or request to have a list uploaded.


Automatically Creating Contacts in Narware through System Processes

Narware processes can created contacts in Narware by Webinar Registrations, or the use of a Smart Link.

Creation of a Contact by Registration (Common)

Proceeding the connection of a Webinar Account or multiple Webinar Accounts, Narware will automatically get from the connected Webinar accounts any registrations of Webinars not yet completed prior to the connection. As a result a New Contact record will be created in Narware with the Email and possibly Name and Phone if provided only if the Contact does not already exist in Narware.

• If the contact already exist in Narware the registration record will be associated with the already existing Contact.

• If the email does not exist in Narware but does exist in the connected CRM, Narware will create a new contact record with the CRM available information including Name, Phone, Country and CRM ID.

Creation of a Contact by Smart Link (Ideal)

A Smart Link is a valued feature in Narware that allows you to create a frictionless experience towards the Joining of a Webinar. This feature is the ideal way to get contacts registered and into your webinars not only for the frictionless experience for the customer but for a more valuable view into the complete experience of the customer from the moment they received a Smart Link to the end goal of getting that contact to attend and closing a deal.

When a contact interacts with a Smart Link and they do not already exist in Narware a new record will be created. Upon creation Narware will first check the CRM for a matching email and get the related information if available. If there is no contact with matching information Narware will create a "New Contact" record.

!Important! : If the Smart Link does not result in a Registration and the contact is a "New Contact" the created record will not sync to the connected CRM until the related email results in a registration.
Note: If the Smart Link includes a Name or Phone in the URL selected Narware will create a record including this information but will not write over already existing information.

Manual Creation

A new contact can be created in Narware by a User by selecting Contacts in the left navigation and then Selecting "Add Contact"

A list of contacts can be uploaded to Narware through a manual process. Currently this request must be made to our support team by sending a list of contacts you wish to upload as a .csv file. Please include in the .csv file the columns labeled: Contact Name, Contact Email, Contact Phone
Note : A contact created in Narware through a manual process will not be synced to any connected integrations until a registration is created for a Webinar for the related email.
